We closed a highly satisfactory 2019. The good performance of our brands has resulted in a 7,6% growth in turnover, reaching €2.813,3 million. EBITDAA registered an increase of 11,5% compared to 2018, and reached to €342,7 million.
The Group has developed an intense activity all throughout the year and one of the core work strategies has been both organic and inorganic growth: we have reinforced our premium positioning with the acquisition of the company Tilda, a prestigious business in the category of basmati rice, well positioned in the UK, the Middle East, North America and India markets, and very complementary business for the Group.
Some other important investments have been made, aiming to foster organic development, such as: optimization of distribution in France and building of a new plant in La Rinconada (Sevilla). Also, new product lines of skillet gnocchi have been introduced to Canada, as well as the enlargement of the microwave cup plant in Memphis.
