Ebro Foods and SOS Corporación Alimentaria have today signed the master agreement for the purchase by Ebro of the SOS rice businesses in Spain, USA, Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands, and the SOS brand worldwide. This agreement goes hand-in-hand with the one signed yesterday for the purchase of the Saludaes brand in Portugal.
The overall price of these acquisitions is €205 million.
The €10 million increase over the €195 million announced on 25 November corresponds, among other adjustments,to a smaller transfer of organisation structure with these businesses, as a result of which the estimated EBITDA of the businesses to be transferred will improve by €1-2 million/year.
The final closing of these transactions is pending approval by the anti-trust authorities in Spain and the USA, respectively.
